Is TZUR Wallet safe?
TZUR is a self-custody, Bitcoin-only wallet built by BlockSight OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17474529, verifiable in the Estonian e-Business Register). Your private keys are generated and stored only on your device, protected by hardware-backed encryption; TZUR has no accounts, no servers holding funds, and no technical ability to access, freeze, or move your bitcoin. The wallet is built on open Bitcoin standards (BIP-39, BIP-32, BIP-84), so your recovery phrase restores in any compatible wallet, with or without TZUR.
How TZUR protects your bitcoin
Self-custody by design
Keys are generated on your device and never leave it. There is no cloud backup of your seed and no TZUR server that ever sees it.
No account, no personal data
TZUR requires no email, phone number, or identity. There is nothing to leak, phish, or subpoena that ties your name to your coins.
Open, portable standards
BIP-39 recovery phrases, BIP-32 derivation, BIP-84 Native SegWit addresses. Your backup is not locked to TZUR: it restores in any standards-compliant wallet.
Bitcoin-only
No altcoins, no tokens, no DeFi integrations. A deliberately small attack surface with fewer moving parts than multi-asset wallets.
Local signing
Transactions are constructed and signed on your device. Network servers are treated as untrusted data sources; nothing they return is trusted blindly.
Verify, don't trust
The live BlockSight.Live explorer is built in, so you can check blocks, addresses, and your own transactions yourself, without a third-party website.
What TZUR cannot do
Who is behind TZUR
TZUR is developed and operated by BlockSight OÜ, registered in Estonia under registry code 17474529 (verifiable at ariregister.rik.ee). The company also builds BlockSight.Live, a real-time Bitcoin blockchain explorer. The founder operates publicly as Dani B.; the company, its registry record, and its products are documented on the About page.
Independent receipts
Claims are easy; receipts matter. These are verifiable outside tzur.live:
Honest limits
TZUR's application code is proprietary; the 31 BIP-39 display wordlists are open source under the MIT license. The wallet has been through internal security audits before each release, but an independent external audit has not yet been published. And self-custody itself has a limit worth stating plainly: if you lose your recovery phrase and your devices, your bitcoin is gone. No honest wallet can promise otherwise.
Common questions
Is TZUR Wallet safe?
TZUR is a self-custody, Bitcoin-only wallet: keys are generated and stored only on your device with hardware-backed encryption, there are no accounts and no servers holding funds, and it is built on open standards (BIP-39, BIP-32, BIP-84) so your backup restores anywhere. It is developed by BlockSight OÜ, a registered Estonian company (registry code 17474529).
Is TZUR legit, or a scam?
TZUR is a legitimate product of BlockSight OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17474529, verifiable in the public e-Business Register). The iOS app is reviewed and distributed by Apple on the App Store (since July 2026), the project authored a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal for multilingual seed phrases (bitcoin/bips pull request 2200), and its 31-language seed phrase work was covered by journalist Christine Kim in BTC Before Light, Issue 44 (June 2026).
Can TZUR access or freeze my bitcoin?
No. TZUR is non-custodial: private keys exist only on your device, and there is no server-side wallet, account, or custody layer. TZUR has no technical means to access, freeze, or move funds, and nothing to hand over if asked.
What happens to my bitcoin if TZUR or BlockSight disappears?
Nothing happens to your bitcoin. Your recovery phrase is standard BIP-39, and addresses follow BIP-32/BIP-84 derivation, so you can restore your wallet in any standards-compliant Bitcoin wallet at any time. Your funds live on the Bitcoin network, not with TZUR.
Is TZUR open source?
Partially. The 31 BIP-39 display wordlists are open source under the MIT license on GitHub. The application code is proprietary. Because TZUR uses standard BIP-39/BIP-32/BIP-84, your backup is fully portable regardless: any compatible wallet can restore it.
